HONDA CRF450R
CRF450R which is flagship model Honda motocrosser has been changed fully from 2017.
It pursues high performance than before.
The suspension has been changed to SHOWA from KYB in 2017.
Honda used to equip air suspension as well as other companies, but as many users requested the stronger metal spring, they decided to equip newly developed spring by SHOWA.
The rear suspension is also single shock type made by SHOWA, and front and rear are dumping force adjustment type.
The engine is 449cc, 4 stroke water cooling single cylinder according to race regulation.
The boa stroke is 96mm x62.1mm and the compression ratio is 13.5:1.
The torque was improved in the whole area if comparing 2016 type.
The frame is newly designed aluminum twin-spar type, and can lower more the position of the gravity center.
The oil tank which send engine oil has been changed to new type and became more compact.
The fuel tank is not made of resin, it is made of titanium which is thin and hard. It is special characteristic of this machine.
The muffler is divided into right and left and fixes the weight balance of the body. So it can contribute to the centralization of mass.
